Jumillano Fibromyalgia Association, AJUFI, in collaboration with the City Council, held on Tuesday at 20.00 pm in the Cultural Hall of CajaMurcia a lecture by psychologist Sergio Sanchez Hernandez, entitled "Caring for the caregiver".
Fibromyalgia is a chronic, widespread disease and is characterized by long-lasting pain in muscles and joints throughout the body.
It can be particularly intense in some points: occipital and cervical area, upper and lower back, knees, elbows and buttocks.
Pain intensity from day to day and can change location, but could be more severe in those body parts that are used more (neck, shoulders, hips and feet).
In some people, the pain interferes with daily and routine tasks, while in others it causes only mild discomfort.
They are also frequent sleep disorders, fatigue, stiffness and swelling sensation and joint stiffness, intestinal disorders, dry mouth and stomach acidity, among others.
This association is dedicated to inform and guide people with these conditions offering therapies to improve the health of patients with personalized treatments, raise public awareness in general.
During the conversation topics as caregiver profile, adaptation phases care or outcomes of care in the caregiver's life, in short, will address the disease will be treated from the point of view of the people responsible for the care of patients fibromyalgia.
