The Archbishop Lozano IES hosts this Saturday, March 7, editing the XXVI Olympiad mathematics Murcia in your local phase, involving a total of 135 students from the municipalities of Cieza, Yecla and Jumilla.
The test, which is organized by the IES Archbishop Lozano, will begin at 10:00 hours and the objectives pursued among others, are to facilitate students to discover or increase their passion for problem solving and satisfaction of overcoming challenges intellectuals, and shows the playful aspects of mathematical work.
This is an annual event around troubleshooting, aimed at boys and girls in 6th Primary and 2nd of ESO, and will be a day when further relations will be promoted between centers of the region and different educational levels.
The math department IES Archbishop Lozano has turned in its preparation and organization, with the help of the Mathematical Society of the Region of Murcia.
As indicated from the organization, participation has increased up to 30% over the last Olympics.
Throughout the Region are more than 1,000 students who participate in this first phase of which will be selected to 30, again Jumilla, April 18, to contest the regional final.
The selected at this meeting, also held at the IES Archbishop Lozano, will be responsible for representing the national phase Murcia.
