Among those who said the Swiss pianist Javier Laso Rovira, the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena and some teachers at the Conservatory of Jumilla
Over 400 people attended this past Friday Vico Theatre, to honor what was one of the major drivers of musical teachings of Jumilla, Maria Angeles Tomás, at the concert "Sounds of Soul", whose collection also was intended the Spanish Association Against Cancer, AECC.
About a dozen musicians, including pianist Javier Laso Swiss Rovira solo, accompanied by the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of José María de Vicente, performed in a first half full of feelings, concert D minor for piano and orchestra K.466, in addition to the interpretation of the concert No. 20 Mozart and the two gifts guest pianist, Liszt variations on a theme of Rigoletto and Aria from the Goldberg Variations by JS Bach.
The second half began with the screening of several paintings by the very Mª Angeles with the background music of "Hypnosis" and Mary Gilar the piano and the flute Assumption Castellanos, an introduction which led to one of the highlights of the evening, the concert "Sounds of Soul", which featured musicians jumillanos, colleagues and students of Maria Angeles, performed some of his most moving parts.
"Coral Figurado No. 4", "varied Coral" "Invention" or "Nana Ignacio" were some of the pieces composed by Mª Ángeles that aroused public awareness, played by a dozen musicians, rhythmic with images his paintings projected background.
Mª Angeles nephews, were responsible for closing the event, with emotionally charged words that shocked the audience, to put the finishing touch to an encounter, in which 400 people gathered at the Teatro Vico, enjoyed a concert in which music emotions joined in a tribute more than deserved, which was one of the great defenders of music teaching in Jumilla.
