This Sunday, Jumilla hosted the thirty-eighth edition of the Single Regional Cross Country Championships, coordinated by the Athletic Club proof Gasóleos González Pérez Jumilla, with the collaboration of the City of Jumilla, Athletics Federation of Murcia Region and numerous jumillanas companies.
A total of 466 athletes crossed the finish line of the race, belonging to 44 clubs came Murcia, Alicante, Albacete, Valencia and Madrid in search of the title of regional champion cross and a place in the various selections from Murcia to participate in Alcobendas (Madrid) in the Championship of Spain Individual Junior Across Country, Promises and Absolute and the National School Cross to be held in Guadalajara.
As highlighted from the organization, the show not only had one of the largest shares in the last 10 years, but also had a major influx of people, both in the stands and facilities of the sports center and the Avenue Freedom from where you could see much of the route.
The test was attended by the Mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, who was accompanied by the Councillor for Sports, Juan Manuel Abellán, and President of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, Juan Manuel Molina, who along with members Athletic Club Jumilla Gasóleos González Pérez were in charge of carrying out the trophy to different athletes, both the Regional Championship and the Regional League reached its final day.
From ten least ten o'clock, athletes toured the nearby sports center "La Hoya" divided into eight runs and thirty-two categories, female and male sixteen sixteen.
