Jumilla turns to overcome this year, with its celebration of Carnival, and raises the bar again in the various events organized by Celebrations, both in participation and in audience, with hundreds of people on the street enjoying the Carnival 2015.
Saturday was one of the great days of Carnival this year, with the parade in which more than 1,000 people, plus numerous extras of particular groups, who joined the tour.
Dance academies Alejandro Carlini, Sara Pérez and Conchi Marin Revelation troupe of Alhama de Murcia, nurseries Jumilla AMPAS of most schools in the locality, neighborhood associations Street Calvario and San Fermín, charanga of AJAM, Christ Tabores Association of Blood, or ASPAJUNIDE were some of the groups that participated in the parade, which toured some of the main streets of Jumilla.
At night, in the Fiestódromo, hundreds of people gathered in the Great Night of Carnival, mostly with elaborate costumes were given.
Since jellyfish, lamps, Cheetos mascot, Chester, divers, or Maleficent, were some of the costumes that filled the Avenida de Levante color and joy, in a night session enlivened by guest DJs Carnival of Jumilla.
As in the past year, the Department of Celebration organized a costume contest, sponsored by the nightlife of the party area, which involved more than fifty extras, with an average of 6 people per group plus individual participants.
In the category of carnival, the winners were the group "Divine Death", and individual costume, went to Jack Sparrow, each endowed with a prize of 300 euros.
As highlighted by Councilman Celebrations, "Carnival in Jumilla year surpasses year, and confirmed that it is a date really like the Jumillano Jumillano. Each edition costumes are more original and more elaborate, participation in the Street is higher, and this is partly the result of the commitment of the many associations and groups involved in the Carnival, which must thank to the success of this event in Jumilla ".
In addition, the council wanted to apologize for the mistakes of sound that had Conchi Marin Academy during the Grand Parade on Saturday, both his teacher, and the students of the academy.
Sunday, Uncle Higuico and the Giants paraded through the streets of Jumilla, and Tuesday, completed acts with the traditional Mardi Gras, which takes place in Calle del Calvario.
Also this morning, Jumilla colleges participating in the Children's Carnival Parade, in which dozens of children between 3 and 16 years have passed along Calle Canovas del Castillo to the Paseo Poet Lorenzo Guardiola, which has ended parade with a meeting among the colleges.
