Municipal Councillor responsible Animal Shelter, Almudena Martínez, presented this morning, the campaign "Sterilize before, so you do not give up after" an initiative of the Department and three Veterinary Clinics Jumilla, Urban Wildlife Centre Mascoticas intended to prevent unwanted litters abandoning through sterilization of animals.
The campaign will run from January to March, and during this period the clinical lower prices of sterilizations in dogs and cats, so as explained Almudena Martinez, "this reduction is intended to ensure that owners of pets sterilized their pets, a practice that also have a positive impact on the health of the animals. "
In this sense explained as "sterilization benefit when appease animal character, zeal and marking of territory avoided, as well as diseases, health reasons in addition, to avoid unwanted litters."
Almudena Martinez thanked the willingness of veterinary clinics and animal protective 4 feet, and encouraged anyone interested to learn all these points.
Furthermore he stated that "Jumilla has a Municipal Ordinance Tenure and Protection of Pet Owners and Potentially Dangerous, in which various sanctions contemplated by default. In this way, abandoning animals is a very serious offense that could reach 15025.36 euros, in the case of potentially dangerous dogs and up to 3,005.06 euros for the rest ".
