Councillor for Education, Alicia Abellán, reported this morning, of the works that the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities, will rush into the CEIP Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, with an investment that will exceed 136,000 euros for full compensation of the roof.
As explained by the Minister of Education, "a few weeks ago the Local Government Ministry gave the building permit to undertake this important work, which will be provided by the contractor Azuche, a company specializing in works of this kind" .
The focus will thus in replacing the entire cement, and replacement of the roof.
"A much-needed work, which had since 1999 is called in by the educational community, which now will answer."
The works will start on December 22, and have, according to specification, an implementation period of two months.
As indicated by Alicia Abellán, "Friday afternoon will begin with the work of moving the furniture on the first floor, which will eventually be installed in places where school will be located during the course of the works, which has finally been decided to be in the Adult Center for Primary and between the Conservatory and School of Music for Children groups ".
"We months working with the educational community center, so that the duration of the works, the children are placed in the best way possible. The two locations were searched to cause the least harm, because the first of the options toyed was to relocate them in other schools, but had to reschedule the afternoon, which would be a major upheaval ".
Also, stood out as "we know that the discomfort will be obvious, but we understand that the end will be worth it, and it was time to undertake this action. The City will make every effort so that the time remaining in these two sites are best, well, Services and Internal Affairs, will increase their efforts, like the Ministry to strengthen the staff during the works. "
Finally, the councilor thanked "sensitivity, work and coordination with the school AMPA and most especially, to the willingness shown by the faculty and management team, with whom we have been working months for this performance is as painless as possible. "
