The mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez and Councillor for Agriculture and districts, Francisco Martínez Escandell, visited last week the roads on which it is acting in the town of Jumilla under the Regional Plan of Rural Roads, as they are, the way rural linking the Torre del Rico with Capitos and the Way of the Escandelles, two important actions that have exceeded 158.0000 euro investment.

First, the actions foreseen in the road between the village of Torre del Rico with Capitos are already completed.

Among the works, we proceeded to paved with asphalt on a stretch of 2 kilometers and 200 meters.

Over the next week, is expected to be finished put the other way presented by the City to Regional Rural Roads Plan.

In this case it is the Way of the Escandelles, that was the only way the municipality that provides access to a rural town with residents throughout the year, and still remained unpaved, on a stretch of a mile.

These actions have been included in the new period Rural Development Programme, PDR, 2014-2020, for the preparation of rural roads that serve farms and in turn, serve as a link between rural communities.

The Rural Development Programme ended in 2013, so that the Ministry has opened a new period of six years to continue with the proceedings, defining the territorial needs.

As highlighted by the owner of Agriculture "was a sought petition by locals as it is a busy road, and was in very poor condition, which we were able to respond, through the funds approved by the Directorate General of Agricultural Infrastructure, more than 158,000 euros that have come to stop Jumilla, to improve these two important roads in the town ".
