9 restaurants, 3 wine bars, cafes and 2 mills 8 participate in the IX Gastronomic organized by the Jumilla Wine Route, which will take place throughout the month of November in the town.
So the president had the Wine Route Sebastián García, Councillor John Calabuig, and vice president and head of communications, José María Fernández and José Miguel Cegarra at the launch of the ninth edition of this conference.
As is traditional within the Conference, for 5 weeks, the Gastronomic be offering jumillanos and visitors nine tasting menus in the nine participating restaurants, with starters, first and second course plus dessert, a bottle of wine every two people for 30 euros.
Jumillanos gazpacho, fried cheese with tomato, rice and stuffed rabbit or balls are some of the dishes that will accompany the conference setting, as hallmark of the town of Jumilla, the wines, with 12 of working more representative of the participating wineries.
In addition, the 'Path of the lid and pot "back again to value traditional dishes through tops spoon. Nine wine bars, restaurants and shops participate in this route, bringing their creations more drinks of 12 wines selected for 2.50 euros. Besides the "Scratch the Spoon", the path will give away more than 1,000 prizes instantly for each lid, stew or menu.
To complement the recreational cuisine offered by the municipality during these weeks, the Wine has launched the "Gin & Cocktail Route" campaign, in which eight cafes in the city will offer a discount of 1 euro in gin tonic or a cocktail around wine produced by each skewer or stew that is requested in bars and restaurants participating in the conference.
Also, to mark the European Day of Wine Tourism on November 10, all the wineries associated Jumilla Wine Route will be open to the public, conducting free tours of the facility.
In addition, completing the cultural offer for this day, has organized a open day in municipal museums and cultural space of Castillo de Jumilla, which have been prepared in two free tours.
Moreover, among the novelties of this edition will be the "Peque Days" workshops for children to be held during the weekend of the conference, where qualified staff will take care of small workshops also carrying between kitchen and dining other activities.
Montesinos also 4X4 Jumilla participate this year doing the activity "Overland Wine Jumilla" a 80km route through the vineyards of the city ending with a tasting and tapas at Bodegas Carchelo, Sunday 2 November.
Moreover this year the activity is presented "Live Oil" visit during Jumillano olive harvest and oil milling.
The Gastronomic each year have biggest supporters inside and outside the region, in an activity that binds to the wine culture with the historical heritage of Jumilla and traditional cuisine.
