Councillor for Culture and Tourism, María Dolores Fernández and the director of the Museum of Ethnography and Nature Sciences "Jerónimo Molina," Cayetano Herrero, presented this morning, part of the quarter Ethnographic host until December, and that this occasion is a piece of gypsum single crystals to date in Jumilla.
As explained by the director of the Museum, "this is a new piece for the museum's collection, which has been restored to two meters deep in the Cabeza de Jumilla, in works that are running in the fourth glass of pouring Municipal Landfill, which is very interesting for geodes with open ends, of singular forms, making this piece very particular fragment, and the first of its kind on the town of Jumilla. "
This part will be close to the last quarter of 2014, a year that the Museum has been dedicated to the crystals, due to its global year.
Meanwhile the Councillor for Culture has encouraged jumillanos, jumillanas and visitors to visit the piece while discovering the rich heritage which houses the Museum of Ethnography and Nature of Science Jumilla, in terms of collections of geology, mineral and fossil remains of great historical importance.
The play will run at the museum until December from Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00 and on Sundays and holidays from 11.00 to 14.00.
