The mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, and the Councillor for Public Safety, Marina Garcia, met yesterday with the Provincial Traffic Chief, Virginia Juarez and responsible for driving this head, Francisco Maiquez to assess the application on the municipality of the various campaigns that the Department is engaged, and know also, some of the new proposals.
Thus, Marina Garcia reported that the campaigns are carried out such as those focused on promoting the use of child restraint systems, the monitoring and surveillance of drug and alcohol use by drivers, or disclosure and surveillance the use of motorcycle helmets, among others.
Moreover, the Directorate General of Traffic, was informed of the agreements that the City has entered this entity, as well as upcoming programs to be put in place such as the Arena 2 and E-Mail Vial, DEV , on which the Department is already working.
Specifically, on the DEV, the councilor stated that "will be a great advancement as through an electronic mailbox, citizens can receive via the Internet, notices of disciplinary procedures and other communications from the General Directorate of Traffic."
Moreover, the Arena 2 system will allow the capture, storage and management of accident information for the DGT, whose main purpose is to group all these mechanisms that exist today and provide a single interface for data entry by authorized users.
The system also allows the treatment of information collected for the compilation of statistics and reports on accidents.
During the meeting, the councilor also requested the Traffic Department, the transfer of more material means necessary for the proper implementation of the road safety campaigns, what the Provincial Chief of Traffic, formed to begin with, it will assign one new breathalyzer to facilitate monitoring of the level of alcohol in drivers.
