The city hosted this weekend, the third edition of Low Brass Jumilla, a festival of tuba and euphonium, which gathers dozens of students around these two instruments, and whose program also includes performances and concerts to complete event.
On Friday, the first day of the Festival began, with a concert Gemina Horn Quartet, accompanied by Antonio Perez, Fernando Torres and David Abellan musicians.
On Saturday, Vico Theatre was the venue chosen to offer one of the important events of the event this year, the concert of the professors of the third edition of Jumilla Low Brass, accompanied by the band holder Jumillano Friends Association Music.
Works by D. Shostakovich, J. Curnow, were interpreted by the AJAM with special solo performance of the teachers invited to the appointment, David Thornton and Thierry Thibault, to put the finishing touch to the performance.
As an end, the concert ended with the premiere of "Overhauled Music" for Tuba, Euphonium and Band, composition Jumillano resident musician Ginés Carrion, which was interpreted by the festival director David Abellan the Euphonium, and Professor Tuba, Daniel Férriz.
After an intense weekend of lessons, and performances on Sunday, it was the turn of students from the festival, responsible for closing the Jumilla Low Brass 2014 with a concert, which also has featured a performance of David Abellan training Trio in excellent framework that Plaza de Santa María.
