Jumilla is preparing to host this weekend, the Jumilla III Low Brass Festival, an event that consolidates edition after edition, and this year also adopts international with the participation of teachers and Thierry Thibault David Thornton, important musicians Francis and England from some of the most prestigious music schools in Europe.
Councillor for Culture and Teatro Vico, María Dolores Fernández, course director, David Abellan, president Jumillano Association of Friends of Music, Esteban Moreno, and the developer of the Teatro Vico, Juan Simon, presented this morning the festival, which starts on Friday and will run throughout the weekend in different municipal areas.
Completing the picture of teachers will be told again in this edition, with Daniel FERRIZ Azorin, professor of tuba and chamber music conservatory "Maestro Jaime Lopez" and band director of the municipal school of Molina de Segura, and own course director Jumillano, David Abellan, euphonium of the Municipal Band of Bilbao.
The Festival will begin this Friday, July 4, at 20.00 pm in the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music "Julian Santos", where the concert of training "Gemina Horn Quartet" will take place, and whose input will be freely accessible.
On Saturday, at 20.30 pm in the Teatro Vico, will be held one of the highlights of the festival, concert Teachers and Band AJAM holder, with the participation of guest musicians this edition David Thornton and Thierry Thibault, and which is also present as a novelty, a work by resident composer Ginés Carrión, for tuba and euphonium, which will premiere at the festival.
On Sunday, at 19.30, the closing of Jumilla Low Brass 2014 will be held in St. Mary's Square, which act pupils who participated in this year, along with the formation "Trio David Abellan ".

"Jumilla Low Brass" is the only festival in Spain dedicated exclusively to the tuba and euphonium.
It began in 2012 thanks to the concern and determination of Abellan David Garcia, the Director, who after two festivals has established this event as part of the cultural agenda of the Spanish metal grave.
The primary objective of this festival is to bring these tools to the public and offer a variety of activities ranging from the educational field, the compositional and interpretation, aimed at students and professionals.
