The Teatro Vico welcomed yesterday the closing ceremony of the 60th Anniversary of IES Archbishop Lozano, bouncing the course with an emotional gala, with an end to activities throughout the course have been carried out to mark six decades put History of the Institute in Jumilla.
The gala began with a retrospective screening of the evolution of the center since its inception in 1953 until today, which has become an emblem of teaching quality in the town, year after year, said its director, Pascual Hernandez "exceeds expectations."
The event continued with the presentation of awards to the various research projects to students and the students who have been part of the "ArzoIdeas" program, a project that students should engage with an idea to improve society, and influence each at least one in 20 people, to improve them.
The event was also used to make awards to the winners and contributors to the XXIII Regional Short Film Competition "Archbishop Lozano" in which this year included nearly two dozen jobs.
Besides the center, on the other hand, acknowledged the cooperation of the various directors of the schools in the town, making delivery of a pin of the Institute, in thanks.
As part of the "ArzoIDeas" Project, the event also had a supportive background, because after the awards ceremony, a flamenco concert, whose proceeds will go entirely to Caritas Jumilla took place.
Thus, the voice of Jose Monino "El Chino" guitar which is also the coordinator of ArzoIdeas project, Miguel Ángel Yuste, and the cajón Jesus Miguel Montoya, sang issues Paco de Lucía and Camarón among others, to collaborate with the social work that Caritas plays locally.
The Deputy Mayor, Alicia Abellan, was responsible for closing the ceremony, congratulating the center for the 60-year history.
