Last Saturday, June 21, the International Music Day was celebrated, and on this occasion, the Symphonic Band of the Municipal Conservatory of Murcia met musicians throughout the Community, to celebrate also the 10th Anniversary Band.
Young talent, ages 14 and 18, selected from all Municipal Conservatory of Music, from all over the Murcia geography were part of the group, made up of more than 80 seats.
The Conservatory of Music "Julian Santos" was well represented by a total of 16 students of the Centre, with the instruments of flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and percussion.
The mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, who also attended the concert along with many parents, Jumillano Jumillano congratulated the young students to "make a magnificent representation of musical teachings of Jumilla, adding their talents to the rest of the students throughout the region, and resulting in a special concert in honor of the International Day of Music ".
The Symphonic Band of the Municipal Conservatory of Murcia was established for the first time ten years ago, with the aim of coordinating and vertebrate music teaching in the region.
Their training varies each academic year, members get their place for one year by a test between all students.
For this occasion the band had the former director at their first meeting, Julian D. Gimeno Andreo, responsible for guiding the musicians, a spectacular program of great difficulty, which ended up putting the audience with a standing ovation from over 10 minutes.
