On World Environment Day, the Concerted Learning Centre Stone Cross, organized for the students of 4th of Primary, an activity linked to the awareness of children to care for the natural environment, and in particular with the importance of recycling, activity ended with a meeting in the Meeting Room of City Hall with Mayor Jumilla, which they conveyed some concerns and needs.
One by one, the students were asking questions to the mayor, all related to the environment, including highlighted numerous questions about the new management of the public refuse collection and street cleaning.
The reason for the change, if true that would raise taxes or bring benefits to the town, were some of the issues that students passed him, and Enrique Jiménez said, explaining further improvements which will bring about the new service , who comprise more Jumillano and jumillanas.
Moreover, the mayor promised to students, to maintain a second meeting, once it is launched the service, to assess improvements, and pick up new tips.
The activity was completed with an exhibition of the Environment Service of the City of Jumilla yielded to the center through the Public School Abarán John XXIII, on climate change, causes of global warming, effects of it, and possible solutions.
In addition the students during the week dedicated to Environment, staged the play "The Sick Park", held a lecture - workshop given by components of Stipa and awareness sessions organized themselves to form work groups.
