Councillor for Sports, Juan Manuel Abellan, and the president of the Federation of Peñas Harvest Festival, Francisco Javier Vazquez, presented yesterday, the new sporting event that will house the town, framed within the program of events to mark the Fair and Festivals in August the "Chatico Extreme Race".
This is a novelty in the town, since according have explained, there will be a race to use, but an obstacle course, which joins the fun sportsmanship with Jumillano accent.
The race will be 9 miles, which will run from the village, and the nearby sports center.
Balsas wine, mud, fences, or straw truck wheels will be some of the difficulties that have to be dodging runners along the race, for which there is a closed figure of 300 lats.
The registration period opens on Tuesday, and will remain open until the total quota of seats, which is expected to be complete mid-July.
Besides trophies to the winners of various categories, there will be one special, and for the brave, who choose testing disguise.
Moreover, there will be a special category for clubs wishing to take part for which they must complete the race at least 4 of the 10 runners maximum in this category may register to rate.
The test took place on Saturday, August 9th, the weekend prior to starting the Fair and Festival in August, and registration will be through the portal www.geminacronos.es.
The registration fee is 12 euros until 6 July and 15 euros, from 7 July to 3 August, and all the relevant information may also be obtained at the Facebook page "Chatico Extreme Race 2014 ".
"The goal is fun and have a good time sport in friendly company who want to enjoy the experience," stressed Juan Manuel Abellan, who also invited women to raise the rate of participation in this type of testing, encouraging them to run, in which I will be Chatico Extreme Race of Jumilla.
