As confirmed by the Department of Public Safety and Emergency, Jumilla has been the epicenter of an earthquake, recorded at 12:20:41, which reached a magnitude of 2.2 on the Richter scale, but they have yet to regret personal injury or material.
According to the National Institute of Geography, the quake was registered at a depth of 8 km, and felt by the population of the municipality.
Local police and 112 received between 8 and 10 calls alerting neighbors of the earthquake, which has been noticed at the highest level to 6 km from the town of Jumilla on the road 32-13 CM-direction in Hellin northeast of the municipality.
Currently no personal injury or property as a result of the earthquake are known, although members of the local police in Jumilla are inspecting the particular area and around the epicenter.
