Tomorrow Wednesday, April 30, the Directorate General for Citizen Participation, European Union and Foreign Affairs of the CARM, Jumilla bring the "I, Europe", which these days is walking part of Region campaign.
The campaign aims to show people what it means to be a citizen of the EU, to strengthen the sense of belonging of European citizens in a common European future, and the future of the European Union in response to the challenges and common interests.
On the one hand, in collaboration with the Department of Education, will install a mobile classroom, Paseo Poeta Lorenzo Guardiola establishing dozens of schoolchildren from various schools of the municipality, known among other things, European institutions, Parliament, as affect decisions within it are taken daily for EU citizens.
Visit the Mobile Classroom is filled with the talk "Meet EU, know your rights: EU at a glance", which will take place at 10.00 am in the IES Archbishop Lozano, Student Bachelor of 1 of the two Township institutes and associations, and will be taught by Teresa Allupez the 'Europe Direct Murcia'.
The new CEO of Citizen Participation, European Union Foreign CARM, Manuel Alonso Pleguezuelo, and the mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, will be responsible for opening the day prior to the talk.
This information initiative, promoted by the Ministry of the Presidency, through the Directorate General of the European Union and Foreign coincides with the holding of elections to the European Parliament and in addition to addressing the general public, is intended to inspire a sense of active citizenship among young people and be able to increase their participation in shaping the European Union's future.
