The deputy of the Socialist Parliamentary Group for the constituency of Altiplano, Francisco Abellan, held unanimously reached by the Assembly to support the Harvest Festival of Jumilla.
The initiative stems from a motion by the popular MP, Severa Gonzalez, in which he claimed the "Supporting Statement Harvest Festival Jumilla as Fiesta of National Tourist Interest."
The Parliamentary Socialist Group had tabled an amendment to this motion all with the intention of recovering two agreements of the Committee on Social Affairs, June 2001 and February 2002.
These agreements are said to open the file is approved to award the Gold Medal of the Region of Murcia, and another to declare National Tourist Interest of the Harvest Festival.
Francisco Abellan argued that these past years, the PP has revived this recognition and PSOE ratifies what happened in 2001 and 2002.
"That's why we support this initiative because unfettered believe the Harvest Festival for his feature, category and for the immense work that the Federation of Clubs, making it a unique event, it amply deserves both awards."
In addition, the Socialist deputy applauded that after 42 years of operation of this party, the Assembly reach a consensus to be granted the Gold Medal, because as with other events such as the International Festival del Cante de las Minas or the horses came in Caravaca, among others, the Harvest Festival is very deserving of this award.
The Parliamentary Socialist Group appreciates the great work of the Federation of Peñas and gives full support, as well as other groups in the House, soon to be reality both awards.
