Five hundred bandits in their most current version of the sport, came together this weekend in Jumilla, to engage in R Bearded organized by the Hinneni Trail Running Trail, which took place during the day on Sunday at the Regional Park Sierra El Carche.
500 runners, 120 volunteers and nearly ideal for career development temperature, were the ingredients of this test, scoring second appointment to the Regional Mountain Racing League.
The Bearded Trail, told this time with three modalities, Trail, Trekking and Promo, and was five-time champion Spain, Raul Garcia Castan, the winner in the premier class with 22 kilometers long and a height of 3260 meters.
In second place was the Regional Champion Jose Francisco Diaz, Team Roller Master, and Marathon Crevillente Sebastian Sanchez was third.
As for women, Inma Tonda, Cartagena, was the fastest to complete the test, followed by Barbara Judith and Esther Sanchez.
About Jumillano participation, include the third Jumillano Carlos Chico Triathlon Club Jumilla, in the form of "Promotion" and Freedom Perez, who was the first to complete the race jumillana.
Runners know the story of Juan Alfonso "The Bearded"
Thalia Theatre Group and the House Museum, through the Department of Culture and Tourism, were in charge of telling the story of Juan Alfonso "The Bearded", the most famous bandit who are inspired Jumilla in the test in much of the runners who participated.
On Saturday afternoon, after visiting the castle, and explore much of the old part of town, the Thalia theater group, staged several passages of the famous outlaw, thus uniting sports with the local culture.
The Arc of San Roque, the Garden of the Frogs and Square Top, were the sites chosen for the staging, concluded in the Archaeological Museum, with a historical review by the head of Culture Department of Jumilla, Emiliano Hernández .
