The Association of Widows of Jumilla, met last week with the mayor, Enrique Jimenez, and the Councillor for Equality, Alicia Abellan to begin organizing various projects that the association wants to develop in the coming months among them, holding in Jumilla XXII Regional Assembly Widows Federation, to be held in October.
The purpose of the meeting will bring together more than three hundred women in municipalities such as Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca, Molina de Segura, San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia, Yecla or, among others, is the sharing of experiences with all associations and sensitize society of the situation of these women and their families.
The Association of Widows of Jumilla, is part of the Regional Federation of Widows,
bringing together various associations of various parts of the Region, which aims to promote the formation of the widow, human, psychological, cultural, business and entertainment aspects, in order to provide them with resources to take an active part in the social life of their surroundings.
The Assembly is held every year in a town of the region, and the last took place last March in Cieza, which acted as host the regional and local presidents of this group, Josefa Conesa and Pascuala Ayala, respectively, who were accompanied by the general secretary of the Confederation of Widows Hispania, Maria Nieves Perez, and chaplains of both entities, Francisco Moreno and Antonio Muñoz.
The Association organized in this way, together with the Federation convention in Jumilla, as well it recorded its president, Paquita Diaz, the mayor and the council of Equality, which showed their full support for the proposal.
