As reported by the council of Celebration, Antonio Valero, are finalizing the preparations for the celebration of Carnival 2014, which will reach its climax this weekend.
The events begin on Friday at 18.00 am with the opening in the Garden of King Don Pedro a Carnavalero Market, which appointment will be given about fifty exhibitors, coming from different parts of the neighboring communities.
Furthermore, the market will be complemented with different entertainment for all audiences and ages.
On Saturday, as is tradition, will be the big night of Carnival, in the area known as "fiestódromo" which will be located in the Avenida de Levante, in the nightlife of the town.
The evening will start at 23.30, with the group's performance "Spotyfuckers" on stage to be installed in the area.
After the performance, the Dj Carlos Ortiz, liven up the evening with a special session of Carnival.
In addition, overnight, a costume contest, which this year, will be sponsored by local attractions installed in the bar will be performed.
This would have established two categories: "Best Individual or Couple Costume" will be equipped with a prize of 100 euros, and "Best Group or Comparsa" from three people awarded 300 euros.
All participants must register with the Department photocall installed near the stage.
The awards ceremony will take place at the dead of night, and the jury will be composed of representatives of the various groups and associations involved in organizing the carnival Jumilla.
The highlight of the Carnival 2014 will arrive in the afternoon of Sunday Higuico, which will be the big bet of the Department this year.
The activities will start at 16.00, with the parade of Uncle Higuico and Giants, recovered last year, the traditional stretch of Calvary Street.
At 1700 hours, will begin the Carnival Parade II Jumilla, in which the participation of over a thousand people are expected.
The parade will start from the Calle del Calvario, passed by Canon Lozano Street, Canovas del Castillo, touring Avenue Assumption Catholic Kings Avenue, ending at the Paseo Poeta Lorenzo Guardiola, where it is planned to install a bar and takes place an act of coexistence among all participants.
The parade will involve different groups in the city, neighborhood associations, Association of Nurseries, different AMPAS, academies and dance schools and troupes of various other carnivals neighbors.
The tour will be entertained by a batukadas and brass bands that accompany the Carnival Musa, Ana José González, will wear a special suit.
The events of the carnival this year, completed the traditional Shrove Tuesday, on Calle del Calvario, where from 17.30, there will be entertainment for all those who come there.
As indicated by the council of Celebration, "practically everything is finalized to live a great weekend of Carnival in Jumilla. The Department aimed to exceed expectations this year last year and consolidate bets as were the Carnival Parade, and is being achieved.
