The Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, today participated in the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Secondary School Archbishop Lozano, and visited the new language lab center, launched in the course.
This new facility has 15 computer stations, one for the teacher and a digital whiteboard, material used by teachers and students to deepen their knowledge of languages.
In fact, this institute has one of the most complete forms of multilingualism in the region.
From 2010-2011, the IES Archbishop Lozano has implanted the Spanish-French bilingual section, which became Spanish-French-English Multilingual during 2012-2013.
The Minister praised "the work and effort made by the management and teaching team to provide the most comprehensive training for students. Such has always been the spirit of the team that has built this center since its inception 60 years ago as a labor school" .
Sanchez also noted the initiative and concerns of teachers in the center, as evidenced by their participation in European initiatives or projects calls for innovation in education that all courses takes the Ministry.
In fact, two projects of this institute teachers have been selected and provided with budget in the last call made by the Community to work on innovation and educational research.
Other initiatives in which the center is out for his fight against truancy, with measures such as school parents, socio-prevention workshops or classes review and reinforcement.
