This weekend, the film returns to Teatro Vico hand of the Department of Culture and Film Club Interior with a classic celluloid, "Singing in the Rain," which will be screened tomorrow Friday at 21.00 in Vico, in advance of scheduling the first quarter of 2014.
Directed by Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly in 1952, "Singing in the Rain" tells the story of a young actress whose dream is to shine on the big screen, and an actor rather than consolidated, discovering in it the very essence of life.
Before getting to know aspiring actress Kathy Selden (Debbie Reynolds), the silent film idol Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly) thought he had it all: fame, fortune and success.
But, when known, she realizes that she is really missing in his life.
With the birth of the talkies, Don wants to film music with Kathy, but between the silent movie queen Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen) is interposed.
In the coming days is expected to present the Department of Culture officially the Theatre program for the first quarter, in which two sessions include more film, "Brief Encounter" English director David Lean, and "remember" the master filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock.
