The Councillor for Equality, Alicia Abellan, expressed his public condemnation of the murder of a woman 38 years old in Tenerife, with which rises to four the number of women killed by domestic violence so far this year.
Furthermore, the Minister of Health, Social Services and Equality, Ana Mato, also expressed its rejection and condemnation of the past two confirmed cases of gender violence that occurred in the towns of Cervo (Lugo) and Pozoblanco (Córdoba) past 13 and 14, respectively.
Both murders are now added to that in Tenerife, early Thursday Jan. 16.
In the first two cases there was no record of prior complaint of ill-treatment, so that the minister insists on the importance of never shut any act of abuse, however slight or casual it may seem.
As occurs, he says, "is fundamental denounce."
The Minister of Health, Social Services and Equality stressed that the fight against violence on women is unquestionable and unchangeable priority of his department, and this will be addressed from the awareness, education and coordination and unity of all governments and all political and social actors.
