Thursday, Councilman Celebration Antonio Valero, met in Sociocultural Roque Baños Centre, with the groups involved in organizing the Carnival Parade II of Jumilla, which took place on Sunday, March 2.
The meeting was attended by representatives of associations of parents of schools in Jumilla, as well as representatives of various kindergartens in the municipality, neighborhood associations and groups participating.
During the course of the meeting, the resolution was adopted on a proposal from the Department of Celebration, moving the parade to the evening of Sunday, March 2, in order to achieve greater participation of groups and associations, and contribute more public hits the streets to enjoy the show.
"Last year was held, as usual, the evening of Shrove Tuesday, however, with the new date will get them more collective involved and the residents of Jumilla to attend leveraging the feast day" , explained Antonio Valero.
Moreover, the council has announced the intervention in the Parade of several troupes coming from neighboring municipalities, with the act "win in splendor."
The route will be established from the Plaza del Rollo, where participants, Canovas del Castillo, Street Art dealer, Calvary form, ending at the corner of the steps.
Antonio Valero also invited all groups of people prior to the parade Saturday, are participating in the "fiestódromo" organized Levante Avenue, to seize the costumes and do also in the parade on Sunday.
As expressed by the councilor, "this will be one of the main events of the Carnival of Jumilla 2014, and in the coming days other activities will be presented, which the Department has planned for this occasion."
Antonio Valero also highlighted the "great efforts being made by the Department to boost the celebration of Carnival, which for the last 3 years, has re-emerged."
