In an emotional ceremony organized by the Department of Culture, attended by the Mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, the council responsible for the area, María Dolores Fernández, several councilors of the corporation, family of the honoree and numerous neighbors, donating exemplified all your photographic background in addition to the opening of the permanent exhibition of photography that will remain in this Chamber of Crafts.
Ana Maria Thomas, daughter of Jose Antonio Thomas, and noted author of the resort, was responsible for carrying the portrait of his father, in which he emphasized, as thanks to his love of photography, he remained forever fixed offices and work already losses which is recorded only by the images captured Jose Antonio.

The mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, closed the ceremony dedicating a few heartfelt words of thanks to the honoree, which reiterated its gratitude by gifting art, history and culture, in the form of photographs.
"We are here today, we recognize not only the artist, who so masterfully has dominated the beautiful art of photography, but also thanks to the immense treasure that gives us today José Antonio, with this part of our history."
The exhibit will be displayed permanently in the Chamber of Trades and Ethnographic Museum of Natural Science Jerónimo Molina, as a part of the recent history of the town.
