Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt or Cameron Diaz are just a few of the names that make up the front row of cast in "The Minister", the latest film by Ridley Scott, in which that chronicles the descent of a lawyer to hell drug trafficking, and which part of the recording took place in Jumilla, in September last year.
A team of 300 people, including technicians, supporting actors, and the director Ridley Scott, was transferred to the municipality to shoot outdoor sequences in the Top End of Jumilla.
The Mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, was then invited by the producer, to witness the shooting spot, where he was joined by producers thriller.
Filming concluded in Jumilla, having gone through various geographical areas of Spain such as Alicante and Navarre.
The film takes place between the U.S. and Mexico, and tells the story of a respected lawyer in the southwestern United States that is introduced into the world of drug trafficking.
This is the first screenplay by novelist Cormac McCarthy, author of The Road or No Country for Old Men.
