The agricultural unions close positions with the Ministry of Agriculture in its demand for improved agricultural insurance (27/11/2013)

Last October, the city of Jumilla, along with numerous councils over the region, added his support to the demand of the agricultural unions, through a joint motion of the three local groups, for which a meeting was requested with the competent authorities to bring positions and possible solutions that will unlock the situation that was occurring imbalances in agricultural insurance lines, and consider unions as "very damaging to the industry."

Yesterday, it was in this sense a step forward from the regional agricultural sector and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, reaching an agreement through the State Agency of Agricultural Insurance (Enesa) and Agroseguro that allow to improve the system of recruitment policies, which the Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, considered "positive and beneficial" for farmers in the region.
