The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, and the mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, signed the agreement this week renewal that is entrusted to the Bank of cleansing and purifying of the Region (Esamur), sewage management municipal and other water facilities in the town, following improvement actions that have been made.
The Minister of Agriculture explained that Jumilla has a "great purification" with capacity of 12,000 cubic meters per day, representing local agriculture contribute about a million and a half cubic hectometers per year for irrigation.
This pump is equipped with tertiary treatment, which "makes it perfectly usable purified water to local irrigation".
The capacity and the characteristics of the sewage plant Jumilla also allow treatment of water from food processing industries, connected to municipal sewer systems.
Esamur performances also made other small treatment plants in the districts of Wheat Cañada, La Torre del Rico, La AlquerÃa and Fuente del Pino.
Cerda said that the renewal of this agreement "allows Esamur maintaining and managing the smooth running of these sewerage and treatment infrastructure."
