Framed within the activities planned by the Department of Equality close to International Day Against Violence Against Women, and in collaboration with the Youth Council, during the month of October will launch the urban mural painting competition "X the Jumilla Equality ".
This is an initiative that aims to prevent violence against women and promote equality of opportunity between the sexes, while it fosters creativity and talent of young artists through a mural painting contest.
Throughout the month of October to the 30th, the contestants must submit in a sealed envelope indicating the name of the competition to the Youth Council, the sketch that shows the contest, whose theme will be focused on the prevention of gender violence and equality between the sexes from a youth perspective.
The jury will be composed of the departments of technical Gender and Youth, the painter of the Department of Services, and art teachers from area high schools in the municipality.
Among the notable aspects in the assessment of the jury, will take into account the dynamism, perspectives, background, originality, freshness, connecting with youth, and especially the ability to integrate the message of prevention and rejection of Gender Violence and the promotion of equality between the sexes.
The presentation of the winners will be made at a public event which will inaugurate the exhibition with the works submitted to the contest, which will be on display until the end of November.
On 24 November, the date prior to the International Day Against Violence Against Women, will be the winners sketches painted, to be located on Liberty Avenue, on the wall of the building of the municipal garages.
