The Department of Culture and Tourism, along with House Museum, organized for the next 19 and October 20, the First Marathon Photo "Jose Antonio Thomas", an activity aimed to add value to the monuments of Jumilla, and After honoring the figure of one of its most illustrious photographers, with over 50 years of photography behind.
As explained by Emiliano Hernandez, technical manager of Culture of the City of Jumilla, "the basic idea is to make the museum beyond the four walls that house, and collect some of the rich heritage with which the municipality."
Contestants must be presented at 9:00 pm in the Archaeological Museum Jerónimo Molina, and will then know the six monuments among which may choose to photograph, and the characteristics required to be submitted three snapshots.
From there the contestants will have until 14:00 hours to deliver the photos in the Archaeological Museum or mail them to lacasadelmuseo@gmail.com.
On Sunday October 20, at the Archaeological Museum, will present the papers presented, and will be the participants themselves with their votes to choose the third.
The first and second will be selected by the professional jury composed by José Antonio Thomas, Bartholomew and Medina.
Prizes include a TV 19 "TV and Freeview tuner for the first course, a Tablet for the second and the third classified mp3 and a bottle of wine Viña Elena Magnum for the winners and a gift for all participants.
As highlighted from the organization of the Marathon, this is also a great opportunity to meet many of the monuments in Jumilla, still for the local population are unknown.
It is also intended to allow access to some venues that usually remain cut the public, and is open to contestants for the contest.
The registration fee is 5 euros, and may enter in Ethnographic and Archaeological Museum until next Monday, October 14th.
