Framed within the Immigrant Accommodation program that the Department of Social Policy develops in the township, will start next Monday Intercultural Week, a proposal to develop activities that support the rapprochement between the various cultures that exist in Jumilla.
This initiative aims to facilitate the meeting purpose and communication between people from different cultures, promote cultural diversity and the discovery of other values.
Thus, from 23 to 29 September in the town will be numerous activities like drawing exhibitions, lectures, symposia, sports events, with which to share the cultural wealth coexisting in the city.
The culmination of the week will put the Intercultural Meeting, to be held on Sunday, September 29, and in which different immigrant groups and associations are able to show the general public the activities from their bodies, all in a coexistence environment.
The meeting was held at the Paseo Poeta Lorenzo Guardiola and participate with the installation of stands and development of musical performances, dances, theater, tasting of typical products among other activities.
"Cultural exchange is an asset in these times, so from the Department of Social Policy, continue to encourage this type of activities that promote better living and to value the mix of cultures in the city" has highlighted Councilman John Calabuig.
