The Youth Council in collaboration with the General Directorate for the Prevention of Violence Against Women, Youth, Legal Protection and Juvenile Court and the Department of Planning and Education, has launched one more year, the program of youth correspondents , a figure who serves as an intermediary in the flow of information between educational agencies and student community.
This is the sixth edition and 50 will be the correspondents in Secondary Education Centres and Universities in 31 municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
As explained Fernando Oñate, Councillor for Youth, "Youth Correspondents are young students who are primarily responsible for informing young people of their calls centers, resources and activities that may interest them. Correspondent function is to inform, coordinated with your local Informajoven and the Directorate General responsible for Youth in the Region of Murcia, of all those topics that are of interest to young people: leisure and recreation, youth accommodation, scholarships and grants, studies, work, useful addresses, publications, etc..
It also has another primary function, which is to detect, collect and transmit the demands and needs of young people.
In Jumilla, 4 will be selected correspondents, two from Archbishop Lozano and two IES IES Infanta Elena, who will be the those responsible for mediating and transmitting information of interest to students in their schools.
The selection period opened with the start of the course, and all information about it can be found either in the Youth Council, in the garden of King Don Pedro, or in high schools.
