During the three summer months have been developed in Jumilla numerous and varied cultural activities that have completed the leisure activities of the municipality and which involved hundreds of Jumillano jumillanas and visitors.
The proposal began in July with the painting exhibition "Parrales" organized by the Institute of Culture of Wine.
Since then, Jumilla has hosted experiential events dedicated to wine tourism, with the concert series Music from Wines for which they have been over two thousand people and in its development, the Department of Culture has contributed with guided tours every weekend have organized to complete the tourist offer.
The children's workshops developed in the museums of the municipality also been a successful proposal have enjoyed dozens of children who were able to learn in an educational way, some of the curiosities of the history of Jumilla and its evolution over time.
During the month of September will be two activities, the first on day 7, focused on the kids learn different trades represented in the section of the Municipal Museum of Ethnography, most unknown to them to be no longer in use and the second and last quarter, will be on Saturday September 21, with the workshop "Iberian Plate, tasteful dish" in which discover the different Iberian pottery decorations.
Cultural Space Jumilla Castle has also been one of the cultural centers of summer activities with the film series organized by Cine Club Interior and for which it has been almost 500 people.
With three days of cinema, the most successful film was "Rebecca" Alfred Hitchcock projected last Friday and managed to gather 140 moviegoers.
This Friday will be issued "How Green Was My Valley"
John Ford, Friday the 13th will be the turn of "You and I" by Leo McCarney and Friday, September 20 "The Maltese Falcon" by John Huston dismiss the cycle this year with the Oscar-winning film.
The final touch to the calendar will put the Jumillano Andrés Santos, who will give a concert of jazz-bossa nova with Fictoría group on Friday September 6 in the Castillo de Jumilla.
The entry cost 5 euros plus ten euro bus costs usually giving access to the Castle.
Film, theater workshops are some of the proposals from the Department of Culture in collaboration with the different associations in charge of development, have been submitted for this summer 2013 and now come to an end with a positive balance.
"The valuation is very good, because the response of both children and adults in different cultural spaces has been quite remarkable, so we keep working to improve cultural proposal for next quarter and we expect to submit at the end of September," said the Councillor for Culture, Maria Dolores Fernandez.
