As confirmed by the Councillor for Education, Ramiro Garcia Cerezo, Jumilla will this school year, with a new route that will transport free service to school districts of the south of the town.
The route will have its starting point in trascurrirá Torre del Rico and the Houses of Carche to Archbishop Lozano IES.
This route will be the only new addition that makes the Department during 2013-2014, and adds in Jumilla to already recover last year which connected the hamlets of Fuente del Pino and the Farmhouse with the municipality .
In the words of Councillor for Education, "with this new connection we managed to respond to demand the center and parents, requesting free transportation for school in the area. This route starts for the first time, and will be the only new that enable the Ministry for this school year. "
The Ministry of Education and provide complimentary shuttle service to nearly 18,500 students during the 2013-2014 school year, counting with 409 routes.
The Autonomous Community transport gives almost all students in compulsory education, second cycle of Education and Professional Initiation programs who reside more than two miles from the school where they go to school as school zoning established.
For the small group of students who can not be served by this school transport-just over one percent of those with right-, the Ministry allocated 200,000 euros to transport individualized scholarships.
In particular, investment from the Ministry of Education on these routes is 16,456,236 euros, 20,000 euros higher than the previous year.
