The Mayor, Enrique Jimenez, announced at a press conference, that the City has taken steps for the declaration of the Harvest Festival, as National Tourist Interest.
Thus, the Information Commission of Culture held Monday, approved with votes in favor of the Municipal People's Party, adhering to the proposal already made by the Federation of Peñas Harvest Festival.
Will the House now, who discussed the proposal and pass the agreement to the Federation, who shall forward the application to the relevant tourism bodies of the Autonomous Community, in this case to the competent Department, which sent the case to the Secretary General of Tourism.
The regulation of the statement is contained in the Order ITC/1763/2006, of May 3, which regulates the statement tourist festivals nationally and internationally.
The guide outlines the statement of National Tourist Interest will be granted to those parties or events involving manifestations of cultural and popular tradition, with particular regard to their ethnic characteristics and have special significance as a tourist attraction.
Also among the aspects to be evaluated for the granting of the declaration shall in particular take into account the following aspects:
a) The age of the celebration of the festival or event in question.
b) The continuity in time (between each holiday celebration should not take more than five years).
c) Grounding for the feast in the village, which involves public participation in the development of the party.
To evaluate this aspect, we consider the existence of associations, clubs, or other similar groups of citizens who support it.
As the essential requirement is to be declared of Regional Tourist Interest by the Autonomous Community at the time of application and have been, at least, during the five years immediately preceding.
