More than 40 members of the Social Centre for the Elderly in Jumilla have participated in the activities of the academic year 2012-2013 (15/06/2013)

The CEO Institute Senior Social Action Murciano, Enrique Perez, noted that "these activities promote active and healthy aging"

Over 40 members of the Social Centre for the Elderly in Jumilla, Murcia Institute under the Social Action (IMAS), participated in the work program for 2012-2013 which have conducted potteries, tailoring , buns and crafts, among others.

The Senior Managing Director of IMAS, Enrique Perez, said that "these activities promote active and healthy aging to users while contributing to the cohesion of the social relations among them."

Perez explained that bobbin work, crochet and cross stitch "serve to stimulate and preserve the psychomotor of the largest to be constantly moving hands and also exercise the imagination and memory."

In total, over 18 workshops were developed course in which users of the Social Centre for the Elderly in Jumilla made 161 works that have been exposed to throughout this week.

Moreover, with these works were those made by users of the Day Centre of the town in occupational therapy workshops.

The CEO concluded that "over the course develops a wide range of prevention programs for seniors to face up this new stage positively".
