Mobile Application 'Easter Region of Murcia' provides all information about processions of International Tourist Interest, national or regional, in the region.
From Jumilla we find a mention historical events of Good Friday processions at Easter.
The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, introduced a few days the new free application for mobile phones that allows all the information of the processions of Cartagena, Lorca and Murcia, declared of International Tourist Interest and holding Passion Party in other municipalities in the region.
This technological tool, developed by Cadena COPE, in collaboration with the Institute of Tourism, can be downloaded to mobile devices with iOS and Android, and gathers specific information about each of processions declared of International Tourist Interest.
The application also collects data on the remaining municipalities Easter processions which are classified as National or Regional Tourist Interest, such as Cieza, Jumilla and Mula, among the first, and Sewer, Alhama de Murcia, Murcia, Calasparra, Moratalla, La Union, San Javier, Totana and Yecla, Regional Tourist Interest.
Cruz said that this technological tool "expands the information for visitors and natives on Easter, supplying any information deficit".
He also stressed "marriage" between technology and tradition involved.
It is the "best possible connection, because technology updates the tradition, and tradition legitimizes the technology."
The application 'Easter Region of Murcia' is characterized by being very intuitive and simple, as the menus are different from the general to the specific.
First shows the day, and then the information can be ordered either by brotherhood or procession.
In addition, within each procession can find information about each step.
'Easter Region of Murcia' also provides information on the expected weather forecast every day, thanks to a shortcut to the page Aemet, and the possibility of sharing information on social networks from within the 'app'.
In total, the application has 200 images, 65 hours and geolocation processions as well as detailed information on thirty fraternities and every step.
