Alicia Abellán, as Councillor for Equal Opportunity, wanted assistance thanks to all participating schools, getting to present in this issue a total 548 drawings.
He also thanked his support to the Mayor, Aldermen of the Socialist Group and bookstores, who have donated prizes to be awarded.
This is one of the activities organized by the Department of Equal Opportunities, around March 8, thus commemorating International Women's Day.
This activity highlights the importance of children reflect through drawings on their understanding of equality between men and women, "drawing them involves teachers and parents to develop these pictures and think well together, reflecting on how we progress and what still remains to be done in terms of equality, "said Alicia Abellán.
Of the 548 works submitted, we selected 45 of them, forming an exhibition that will run until next March 15, from 9-14 pm in the Council Chamber of City Hall, a choice that has meant hard work for the jury.
The drawings embody all aspects of society in daily life, the home, the reconciliation between work and family life, the workplace is well represented, understood professions traditionally male or female, just curious, what they understand the smallest as equal opportunities.
After discovering the awards, we proceeded to the delivery thereof.
The third prize went to work Estela del Carmen Tomás Jiménez, worth $ 50 in school supplies donated by Bookseller Los Alamos, the second prize went to the drawing of Marta Gómez García equipped with 75 euros in school material and Papyri by Bookseller first prize of $ 100 in school supplies, Printed in Bookstore Café was drawing for Laura Martinez Morales.
The Mayor, in charge of closing the event, wanted to congratulate all the participants, especially the three winners, highlighting the importance of the message that the smallest mean by equality, often giving a lesson to the elderly.
He also congratulated the seven participating schools, as well as teachers and parents to continue educating them on equality, encouraging youngsters to keep working and learning.
