The Department of Social Policy, through a grant from the European Social Fund for the integration of immigrants, held on Accommodating Immigrants Program 2013, developed a series of activities and workshops for non-EU immigrants.
The performances will begin in February and will be developed throughout the year.
This program has a direct care unit immigrants who manages a social worker who will attend on Thursdays from 10 to 13.30 hours.
The activities developed will address:
Provide information on gender violence in the format / appropriate language.
Information and awareness raising to immigrant men and women about the value of gender equality in our country.
Educational support for children.
Workshop tools and resources on job search.
Workshop cultural exchange through culinary habits and customs.
Workshop on family planning and contraception.
Workshop on healthy lifestyles.
Workshop introduction to Computer.
Leisure activities and coexistence between the Spanish and immigrants in relation to the system of local associations.
Intercultural Encounter.
Besides courses will be offered:
- Spanish for Arab women
- Arabic for children
On Friday, February 1, will develop a briefing, at 11:30 am in the Social Services Centre, located at Albano Street Martinez, 7.
