The next Thursday, January 24, presents the book "The French withdrawal of Andalusia" of Francisco Javier Salmeron Gimenez (22/01/2013)

The book is the result of historical research by the author, focusing on the French withdrawal from Andalusia in the summer of 1812, after exposing the historical context in which the inhabitants of the Kingdom of Andalusia and Murcia until they developed that date.

In the work are interrelated military actions and the personal circumstances of the inhabitants of the two regions by the column crossed, concluding with a chapter that explains the level of destruction caused and its severe impact on the economic and demographic population.

It is an activity organized by the Culture Department of the City of Jumilla.
