This morning, Mayor, Enrique Jimenez, and Social Services Councilman John Calabuig, have accompanied the Senior General Manager, Enrique Perez, and People with Disabilities, John Brown, on a visit to the various social centers the municipality.
The official visit was also attended ASPAJUNIDE director, Juan Valero, some of the centers have been visited the day center for the elderly, the residence of ASPAJUNIDE Masvida, or Day Centre building Marín Padilla.
Later at a press conference, the Mayor has announced that it will soon proceed with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the municipality and autonomous region, to the day center opens its doors Marín Padilla and pay, the before, a service in high demand by the citizens of Jumilla.
The Marin Municipal Day Centre specializes in Padilla will accommodate guests with Alzheimer's disease that requires specific care and attention.
This achievement is the work of the Department of Social Services, in the person of John Calabuig along with the IMAS, which have made it possible, in short, will open this Marín Padilla Day Centre, which is managed by ASPAJUNIDE, association has to his credit more than 28 years of experience.
The mayor wanted to thank the Autonomous Community, and the Directors General, effort and commitment to our city and to ASPAJUNIDE for their commitment to continue working for the improvement of social action policies in Jumilla.
The Director General of Persons with Disabilities, John Brown and the Director General of Seniors, Enrique Perez, wanted to thank the Mayor for inviting me to visit these centers in social policy, highlighting both the commitment of the Community to Jumilla, after get the opening of this new center.
A project that has been developing for months, by giving a new service in Jumilla, and the result of work that will culminate with the operation of a center specializing in Alzheimer.
Both directors have wanted to congratulate the mayor for the effort and tenacity to achieve their ends, as well as by Jumillano lucky to have a full cycle of care for people with disabilities, from the early attention, until they are seniors.
In our village there are 529 people who benefit dependents of 598 facilities or services, as there are people who need more than one service, of which 67% receive financial benefits.
