The four legs of Jumilla Association has organized for the first time the week for the Rights of Animals to be held from next Monday until Sunday and will consist of a week of activities that are aimed at both the animals and people of all ages.
As pointed out the president of the organization, Irene Santos, the International Day of the Rights of Animals is celebrated on December 10 in the world and is a day to remember that animal rights are covered by the UNESCO.
"It's a week that we organized with zero cost because all the money that we have is protective for the animals, and therefore, we have to thank the companies that have worked with us and the City of Jumilla," said the president of the organization.
Also, Irene Santos stressed that this year has broken the number of dropouts in the town, and so far 425 have been abandoned animals.
"The guard is saturated and volunteers tired, but that does not mean that we will not stay here, we will organize the activities they need and we will find the money anywhere, because we believe it is a problem that should not be left there and have to keep working, "he underlined.
For his part, Mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, said that the City has worked to the extent of its possibilities and encouraged citizens to participate in organized activities.
"I also wish to thank the members of the association 4 Paws for the tireless work they do every day for the benefit of animals, as their work is very important," he added.
