The Conference was attended by representatives of the Association ALMA, Councillor for Equality, Alicia Abellán, Carmen Mengual, President of the Women's Federation of the Region of Murcia, and the workers of the Department of Equality, Paqui Ruiz, and Maria Jesus Lopez .
The speaker, Angela Albaladejo, provided information about the types of relationships that occur in unequal relationships and cycles of violence with its various phases.
He emphasized the need to strengthen the victim with a social support system that guarantees to take the decision to leave the violence suffered.
The conference highlighted the vital importance, for its ability to penetrate, of the values ​​conveyed by the media, exemplifying this with ads commercial firms that still exist today, the woman as subject of desire , as a taxpayer or as the owner of the life sectors such as domestic work or care for children.
A conference should help to understand the reason for the violence, and continue to raise awareness on the need to understand this social evil, as a social problem as a problem of society and not only as a domestic problem.
Activities continue this afternoon with a storyteller for children aged 6-8 years, to be offered in the Nature Room of Guarafía located in the Botanical Garden of La Estacada.
