The Councillor for Safety, Marina Garcia, has informed this morning of the damage and action taken as a result of torrential rains last week, regretted the loss of life that has claimed the cold drop in different municipalities in the region.
According to Marina Garcia, our town was on orange alert level 2, from 27 to 29 September, with heavy rainfall forecast, and locally heavy, so it was activated a protocol by the Emergency Department, composed of Civil Protection members and local police.
On Friday 32 liters were collected, of which 25 fell in half an hour, which caused several manhole covers had to get up to drain water that collected in the streets.
After the rains, also proceeded to clean the water sediment which dragged on the road to Fuente Alamo and the Way of the French.
There were also small damage to vehicles caused by two manhole covers were lifted.
These actions, as reported by Garcia, were carried out with the cooperation of the staff of the Department of Services, Councillor himself Services, Civil Defence volunteers, Aguas de Jumilla and Local Police.
