The Social Policy Commission ruled on Tuesday, on the proposal of Councillor of Social Services, John Calabuig, the creation of the City Commission of Prevention, Monitoring and Control of absenteeism and drop.
Now will be the plenary on to rule the creation of it so we can start working officially.
According Calabuig said, the creation of this Commission is following the guidelines set by the Regional Plan for Prevention, Monitoring and Control of absenteeism and drop.
Specifically, as set by the Regional Bureau of absenteeism and drop in its Rules of Organization and Operation.
Through the creation of the City Commission, is intended to ensure that children of school age, follow a standardized schooling compulsory education stages and there also pursues a coordinated action between the different authorities involved and professionals.
The board shall consist of a / a representative of the Councils of Social Services, Education and Public Safety, a / a 'representative / the directors / as of primary schools, a / a' representative / the directors / as of Secondary Education Centers, a / a Social Services representative, a / a teacher / a representative of the Guidance Department of Secondary Education Centers, a / a teacher / a team representative educational psychologists, a representative of the local police, and a / a representative of the primary and another AMPAS / a Secondary of AMPAS.
According Calabuig, the commission is scheduled to meet quarterly: at the beginning of the academic year, before the Easter holidays and before the end of each course, but that can vary the frequency, as determined by the Commission, once it is incorporated.
