This morning has been opened wineries Internationalization Day, organized by the Regional Centre on Climate Change and by Bureau Veritas Certification.
Opening it has done Councilwoman Alicia Abellán, who thanked the celebration of the day in Jumilla, closing the gap with the town holds such initiatives and also indicated the importance of the dissemination of this type of content they seek, among other things, improving the competitiveness of our warehouses in the international market.
La Jornada is about the carbon footprint of the sector applied wineries, and will run through two papers, the first one hosted by Don Francisco Victoria Jumilla, Regional Coordinator of the Centre for Climate Change of the CARM, which has been reported of the importance of corporate social responsibility in its environmental dimension and specifically on the potential that the introduction of the carbon footprint in organizations has when not only sustainable development but the improvement and empowerment of company.
Moreover, Don Vicente Ros Garro, Product Manager Climate Change and Energy Efficiency Bureau Veritas Certification, offered a presentation entitled carbon footprint and sustainability, the new international proposal to wineries.
The carbon footprint is an ecolabel that quantifies the amount of greenhouse gases emitted either by direct effect of the production of food, in this case, or indirect effect such as the energy used in its production.
