These works are the result of the commitment made by the Minister of Water and Agriculture, Antonio Cerdá, last November, during a visit that was attended by the Mayor, Enrique Jimenez, and Councilman Water, Francisco Martinez.
The works are to begin now to join the WWTP of the hamlet of "Estacada" with the Wastewater Treatment Station in the municipality.
The tendering of these was started in December and became a kind of tender price of EUR 518,715.72 plus VAT and is a work co-financed with European funds, under the Cohesion Fund of the EU
The visit of these works accompanying the councilor attended, the works director D.
José Luis Pérez Albacete, Directorate General for Water, accompanied by two technicians, as well as technical staff from City Hall and Water joint venture Jumilla.
These works provided since 2006, could not be executed before and now up and carrying them to finally bring the current state of the facilities.
Thus, the treatment plant in the hamlet of La Estacada stops working and meets the municipality's main treatment plant.
Facilities that will be left without service are outdated and needed to stop working.
Councilman Water has very highly of this new infrastructure that will undoubtedly ensure better service than exists today.
